HFS Consultants Hires Veteran Healthcare Finance Expert, Car

HFS Consultants (HFS), a healthcare consulting company providing management, financial consulting, operations and strategic planning services to hospitals and healthcare facilities, announces it has hired Carlos Jimenez, as manager in its Government Programs and Reimbursement Practice area.

Mr. Jimenez brings over 30 years experience in healthcare finance. He began his career at various California facilities as Controller and later, as a Chief Financial Officer. ; Since 1993, he has been with Pacific Hospital Management, where he provided financial and reimbursement consultation to healthcare facilities in California and throughout the West. His clients have included small and rural hospitals and clinics, private community hospitals, and other public health care providers.

Mr. Jimenez?s areas of expertise include Medicare and Medi-Cal cost reporting and appeals, including Federally Qualified and Rural Health Clinics (FQHC/RHC), revenue cycle analysis, financial planning and simulation modeling; and feasibility studies related to new programs and services. He has specialized expertise in Critical Access Hospitals (CAH), and Medicare and Medicaid Disproportionate (DSH) Share programs, and has provided expert witness services related to healthcare financial issues.
